Terms of lease

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

A vehicle may be rented only by a person (hereinafter referred to as the renter) who is over 21 years old and has held a valid driver’s license for at least two years.

Upon vehicle pick-up, the renter must present valid personal identification – a passport or ID card, along with a driver’s license. EKO Rent a Car Belgrade staff will make and retain copies of these documents for record purposes.

By signing the rental agreement, the renter confirms the agreed vehicle price, any additional services, deposit amount, and the exact return time. The renter thereby accepts the general rental terms stated on the back of the contract and published on our website.

PRICE: The daily rental rate includes VAT, comprehensive insurance, and unlimited mileage, unless otherwise stated in a promotional offer. One rental day equals a 24-hour period from the time of vehicle collection, with a one-hour grace period upon return. All prices are shown in euros, and payment is made in dinars according to the Bank Intesa exchange rate on the day of rental, either in cash or by card (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX).

DEPOSIT: A security deposit is mandatory upon pick-up and depends on the vehicle class. The minimum amount is €350, and the exact amount is shown during booking. Deposits can be paid in cash or blocked on a credit card. Regular customers may benefit from a reduced deposit, while renters under 25 years of age are subject to double the standard amount (minimum €700). EKO Rent a Car Belgrade reserves the right to increase the deposit or refuse vehicle issuance. Deposits can be paid in any currency at the applicable euro rate.

INSURANCE: The rental price includes basic comprehensive insurance with participation up to the deposit amount. In the event of an accident or theft, your cost will not exceed the deposit (starting from €200). You can also opt for full insurance, with the price depending on the vehicle class, displayed during booking. If full insurance is purchased and a police report is provided, no additional charges apply in case of an accident. In case of theft, with returned keys and documents, you are not financially liable. Full insurance does not cover interior damages such as stained or damaged seats, or scratched surfaces.

TRAVEL ABROAD: Taking the vehicle outside of Serbia is allowed only with prior approval and an additional fee of €30. If you plan to travel abroad, please notify us in advance; otherwise, a document will be issued prohibiting international travel.

The working hours of our offices at Belgrade Airport “Nikola Tesla” and Niš Airport “Constantine the Great” are from 07:00 to 24:00. Any pre-booked vehicle pick-up or return up to 30 minutes before or after working hours is free of charge.
Pick-up or return between 00:31 and 01:00 after midnight, and between 03:45 and 06:30 in the morning, is subject to an additional charge of €15 plus VAT. Pick-up or return between 01:00 and 03:45 is subject to an additional charge of €30 plus VAT.
